The Postgratuate Study Program in Bioethics (PMS) is part of the strategic planning of the Democritus University of Thrace, which aims to further promote knowledge, develop research and the arts, and meet the educational, research, social, cultural, and developmental needs of the country, and the high level of specialization of graduates in theoretical and applied areas of specific fields of knowledge, special thematic units, or individual branches of the cognitive subjects of the first cycle of studies of the relevant Department.

The subject of the Master's Program in Bioethics is postgraduate teaching and education in bioethical dilemmas in all sciences

  • Training and specialization in Bioethics and the handling, prevention, and resolution of contemporary ethical dilemmas

  • Providing postgraduate students with resources to familiarize themselves with the theories and knowledge of philosophy, law, biology, and medicine that will help them respond to key bioethical dilemmas through committees.

  • Contribution to the creation of specialized scientific personnel for Ethics Committees.
