Course Attendance

Attendance and participation in the educational activities of postgraduate programs offered through a blended learning system (face-to-face, distance learning) require students to have specific technological equipment. This equipment ensures uninterrupted participation in online activities, research, and access to educational material.

The Director of the Postgraduate Master’s Program issues and distributes academic calendars and program schedules. The timetable includes the start and end dates of teaching periods, exam periods, public holidays, course teaching days and times, dates of other events or obligations, etc. The academic calendars and timetables are forwarded to the Academic Affairs Department and the Special Account for Research Funds (ELKE) of the Democritus University of Thrace.

Upon enrollment in a PGMP, students receive the annual Academic Calendar of the Program from the Secretariat.

The organization of the educational process of the PGMP may also be carried out using asynchronous distance learning methods. Students are informed by the Secretariat and the website about the methods of posting digital educational material that follows the course lectures. Attendance at courses is compulsory and is verified by the lecturer.

Degree Title

The Degree Title of the M.Sc. is a public document. Its form is determined by decision of the Senate and signed by the Rector, the President of the Department, and the Secretary of the Department or their legal deputies.

Graduates of the M.Sc. program may be issued, prior to graduation, a certificate confirming that they have successfully completed the program.

A Diploma Supplement in Greek and English is attached to the Master’s Degree, in accordance with the provisions of Article 15 of Law 3374/2005 and Ministerial Decision Φ5/89656/ ΒΕ/13-8-2007 (Β΄ 1466), which is an explanatory document providing information on the nature, level, general educational framework, content, and status of the studies successfully completed, and does not replace the official degree or detailed course grades awarded by the institutions.
